MEET OUR SENIOR RABBI
Rabbi Lisa Grushcow
Rabbi Lisa Grushcow has served as Senior Rabbi of Temple Emanu-El-Beth Sholom since 2012. Ordained at Hebrew Union College Jewish Institute of Religion, she previously served on the clergy team at Congregation Rodeph Sholom in New York City.
Born and raised in Canada, Rabbi Grushcow holds a BA from McGill University and, as a Rhodes Scholar, earned her master and doctoral degrees at Oxford University. She is deeply engaged in interfaith dialogue and Jewish pluralism and is affiliate faculty at McGill University’s School of Religious Studies. In 2025, she was awarded the King Charles III Coronation Medal in recognition of her contributions to Canadian society.
